The Agentic Future: AI Agent Weekly Analysis (4.15.25)
While $6B vanishes from OM, AI tokens moon. With AGI on the horizon and agents going physical, decentralization might be the only safe bet.
I’ll use a decade of traditional finance/corporate experience to refine the chaos into bite-sized chunks for you to digest

Artificial Intelligence (AI) mindshare is stable at 33%, flat on the week:
There’s seems to be a fresh significant event impacting crypto weekly — last week was Tariffs adversely impacting markets, this week it’s the Mantra (OM) debacle whereby $6bn was wiped from the market cap almost instantaneously:
While most would expect a broader pullback within crypto, the opposite seems to have happened within the AI tokens — many seeing double digit gains this week (see cookie analysis below).
Traditional AI development ramps up with projections of Artificial Super Intelligence (ASI) as soon as 2028:
What happens when this is achieved?
Well, Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) is where AI reaches the stage of being as good as most humans — essentially the “Singularity”.
ASI takes this one step further and becomes better than the best human within each field — this then self teaches. An example here is Doctors on diagnosis specifically, but expect this to roll out more broadly to other professions soon.
There’s a great video covering this here (Link)
What does this mean for the end user?
Perhaps we will soon see AI solutions in that top left box in the very near future?
As these agents transcend from digital to physical, it’ll become ever more important to ensure they’re trained in a transparent open source way:
Robotics is ramping up — a rundown of developments over the past 24 hours alone!
Possibly a bull case for decentralized, open source AI?
Particularly when you have competitive alternatives to OpenAI like Deepseek driving costs down to more affordable levels while retaining outputs and quality at parity
DeepMind's David Silver says:
“AI will eventually surpass humans in pure mathematics -- not by mimicking our methods, but by learning autonomously in an endlessly scalable, digital environment.”
The LLM is the brain, the agentic frameworks are the body. Fine tuned to specific examples to better serve the end users/consumers. The UX is clearly levelling up:
It’s why I believe we will see many agents operating effectively in the real world in the near future — both from Web2 and Web3.
Weekly AI Agent Roundup
Nansen’s terminal provides great analysis on smart money net inflows.
Fartcoin leads the charge this week with > $7mm of smart inflows (6x last week):
Unsure what MCP is?
I wrote an article a couple of week’s back that will explain all — Link available here.
AI Agent Analysis (Cookie):
Currently, there are 1,514 AI Agents recorded on Cookie totalling $6.04bn:
This is a cull of of 31 “dead” agents (-2%) yet an overall increase of $1.2bn in MC:
So who are the key movers over the past week?
Fartcoin lead slips as utility catches a bid with ALCH leading the charge. AVA also spikes as the team rolls out its latest updates and vision in a new article:
